Amazon will unveil its Fire TV and Fire Stick TV devices in Europe, Australia and New Zealand next month, the company announced today.
The Amazon Fire TVs are designed to stream Amazon’s TV shows and movies directly from Amazon Prime Instant Video, Amazon said.
The Fire TV devices also support the Amazon Alexa voice-control technology, which lets users control various Amazon devices from a single smart home.
“We’re excited to announce that Amazon will be bringing these devices to our European and Australian customers in November and to our Australian customers later this year,” Amazon’s VP of Product Management, Kevin Tumlinson, said in a statement.
“Amazon has always been a leader in bringing our customers products and services to market, and we’re thrilled to welcome the Fire TV series to our global lineup.”
The devices are slated to launch in the US and Europe in late November, with the UK availability in early December.
